Since the twins were turning two, we threw them a Noah’s Ark themed birthday party. Two-by-two theme for twins turning two (that love animals), it was the perfect theme for them!

We put up flooding signs to warn all the little animals that they are about to board the ark.

We took all the guests pictures when they arrived in this painting with the faces cut out. We will print them and slip the pictures in the thank you notes.

The easel helped direct all the little animals in the right direction!

We decorated the interior with rainbow streamers, waves, and sets of 2 animals marching to the ark on the mantle.

Each child at the party got an animal cup and we kept it simple with a choice of either lemonade or water to drink. You have to keep hydrated even in a flood!

The cake table featured a rainbow set of cupcakes and special two-toned ones for the birthday girl and birthday boy. We also put up pictures of them and some of their favorite things at age two.

For the snacks (appetizers) we made each snack themed to an animal. Goldfish, teddy grahams, banana bread (monkeys), Cheetos (cheetahs), and rainbow skewers of fruit.

Each of the kids got a goody bag filled with animal loot. We set the bags out in rainbow order too to keep with the theme.

Outside we had a jumpy for the kids (pre-rain) and inside we had activities like play dough, ball pit, and the hit was making edible rainbow necklaces out of licorice string and fruit loops.

The twins had so much fun, and in true Noah’s Ark fashion it started pouring rain mid-party!

I love your party!!!!! Just precious! Where did you find the bouncy house and would you be interested in selling the photo prop?   email hidden; JavaScript is required.  Thanks!

@Tricia we rented the bouncy house from bay area jump (northern CA) but I think I found it from googling "noah's ark jump house". We actually reused the photoprop for my daughter's birthday party ( http://semichaoticmom.blogspot.com/2012/06/pink-and-grey-elephant-party.html ), so it no longer looks the same, sorry!!!
